Hi, I got a new camera – and those images are not being able to be previewed on Lightroom. The images are in raw file.

My earlier camera photos are all being able to be previewed on Lightroom. Can anyone help me please? As I’m not able to get ahead in my course without resolving this.

Perhaps if you could give more details, other photographers here could help out.

Camera : Brand, model number and variant
RAW file : format – usually this is proprietary to the camera brand
Lightroom version – and if you are using Windows or Mac – and versions of the OS
How you import pics from your camera into LR – directly connecting camera to PC, download from SD or CF Card etc..

The camera is a Canon mirrorless R7

And the lens is an RF 100-500 mm

The laptop I’m using is an HP envy

My earlier camera was a DSLR – Canon 500D

    Hi Priyanka,

When a new camera is introduced in the market Adobe updates their applications to support the new camera. So all you have to do it update LR to the latest version.

Depending on Mac or Windows, click on Adobe Creative Cloud icon on your computer and click on Apps. There you will see “Update Available” or similar message against LR. Just click on that and update LR version and it will start working.
