  What is role of camera to subject distance in addition to triad of Shutter Speed, Aperture and ISO ?

  The triad is to get the exposure right . The camera to subject distance is for the depth of field .Very close to subject with a long focal length will give you beautiful blur background.

  it’s explained well in the depth of field video I think .
