  No focus lock on Nikon D7200 during bird photography

  Hi,

  I have a D7200 paired with a Sigma 150-600mm lens. When I try to shoot flying terns (or any white bird) from the shore, I am having trouble focusing. The camera shows a shadow of the bird on the viewfinder, then again goes hunting and blanks out without getting a focus lock. I am using AF C with 21 points. This problem does not happen if the bird is flying over trees or something like that. So I believe it is not a faulty equipment problem. How can I improve this aspect?
