  Monopod or Tripod – Wildlife / Bird Photography.

  I am going for my first jungle safari at Bandhavgarh. Please suggest if I should buy a monopod / tripod for my 200-600 mm SONY lens. As I feel it too heavy after an hour of usage resulting to instability.

  As it will be mostly jeep safaris that too in groups and also bird photography, please suggest if I should go with a monopod or a tripod.

  My total budget is approx. INR 15-20K and request you to please suggest the model of the monopod / tripod and the head.

  Carry a good quality bean bag as it is difficult to place your tripod in the jeep safari on sharing basis. Monopod may be useful but bean bag is must for jeep safari.
