    Hi All,

Firstly, thank you for all the help on my earlier posts about Tadoba! I had an incredible time—managed to spot 25 tigers across 8 safaris, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Special icing on the cake was that Sudhir sir gave some very encouraging feedback in his review video, on my picture of tigress Chandni with one eye visible.

Encouraged by that experience, I’m now planning another trip to India—this time to Kanha (I visited Pench in October 2024 and Tadoba in March 2025). However, unlike Pench and Tadoba, I’ve been told that Kanha doesn’t allow the removal of the middle seat, which has left me a bit unsure about the best setup.

Thanks to the all-in-one pack videos, I’ve got a good understanding of the options, but with international and domestic travel involved, I want to keep my gear minimal.

A couple of questions for those who’ve been to Kanha:

    1. Best seating position in a jeep with a middle seat?
I’ll be with two others who won’t be carrying cameras. I’m considering taking the entire middle row so I can move around a bit, but I’d love to hear your thoughts—what’s worked best for you: front, middle, or back?

    2. If you could carry only one camera support, what would you choose?
I’ll be using a 500mm f/4 prime. In the past, I’ve used a monopod and a bean bag with a panning plate, which worked well when the middle seat was removed. But with the seat in place, I’d prefer to carry just one (or at most two) support options.
      My current options are:
      a) Bean bag with panning plate
      b) Manfrotto clamp with a suitable head
      c) Monopod only

    Would really appreciate your insights!

    Thanks
