Am an animal lover and look for opportunities to capture animals on camera. Currently using Sony A7iii with 100-400mm GM, 70-200mm f4 G, 24-70mm Zeiss along with Canon 80D+Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary as the 2nd body. While i also love shooting streets, people, aircraft, landscapes and architecture, wildlife is my primary passion….yearning to return to the African grasslands at the first available opportunity. Since the Sony A1 and A7R5 both involve ‘convincing wife and selling kidneys to buy gear’, which would be the better 5-6 year investment? Smitten by the A1’s 30fps (10-bit RAW not a concern) and the chance to increase keeper rate. Regards

Sony Alpha 1 cannot be compared with any camera. It’s a different league altogether.

Thank you for the super-quick response! Have my heart set on the A1 too.

You can trade your 80D for a canon R6 mark 2 or r8(apsc- more reach) and continue using Sigma 150-600. will be cost effective with excellent results and 30fps too

thanks for the advice! i considered this earlier, but online reviews etc show problems with AF etc, particularly bird/ animal eye-AF. users on dpreview have been complaining about this for a fair bit, now. notwithstanding, will check again. thanks again!
