DSLR or mirrorless ?
If the main aim is wildlife and street photography .. considering clarity, availability of lenses etc. .. is it advisable to upgrade to mirrorless in 2023 or to another better dslr ?

I would highly recommend you to upgrade to Sony mirrorless, since you mentioned wildlife. Any other brand will be a compromise unless you get the top of the line camera / lens.

Which exact camera would you suggest then .. that can be a good balance between features and price ? Considering the Sony A7 IV is a bit steep on the pocket

New mirrorless are very good for videos but I think dslr are better for photography.

Canon 6d and Sony a7 mark2 are examples of ancient dslr and mirrorless, but still not bad.
