Hi all, I have seen in most the photographs the focal length with which those were shot, are mentioned. I want to know where do you all check that in the camera? I am more or less clear about deciding what shutter speed, aparture, ISO, metering mode, focus mode to be used in various situation but where do we find what focal length is being used? Please guide.

Exif data usually has the focal length used.

I understand how to decide what shutter speed, aperture, ISO, metering mode, and focus mode to employ in different situations, but how can we figure out what focal length is being used?@retro bowl

The focal length posted is what it was shot at and can be found in the Exif data. it depend on your composition as to what you want or don’t want in the shot, especially when using Telephoto lens. Sudhir’s Video in wildlife photography explains well on how to compose or choose the shot.
