Nikon D850 or Z7ii – which is better for wildlife

Hi All,

Need an opinion about above mentioned models. Getting them both at almost the same price.

I don’t have Nikon lenses so that also could be a point to consider.

primary intent is for wildlife photography.

Hi Rahul,

Both cameras are exceptional in their own right. Your choice should align with your specific photography needs and preferences.

Firstly, Nikon D850 is a DSLR body weighing 1,005g and Nikon Z7 II is a Compact mirrorless body weighing 705g. Better to choose Nikon Z7 II mirrorless Camera and based on your Photography genre you can choose the lens. Before you buy lens, you can rent and later decide what to buy.

Since you will have to buy the Nikon lenses as well, why don’t you consider Sony mirrorless and corresponding lens? For wildlife, nothing better than a Sony.
