Even during the normal lighting conditions and at Low ISO(400-800) I feel that images are quite noisy.

Could you please let me know your view on this. Also let me know how can I share the raw picture for your review.

If it is happening with every picture then it may be a sensor issue.

Yesterday had been to a Sony centre in bangalore for gear cleaning. Also i told them about my issue wherein they tried telling that it should be because of certain profile settings and they did a reset on that. But still it remains the same.

Is there any procedure to check myself if it is particularly because of the sensor issue

Hello I have one suggestion that go and try with other 7m3 camera too

As we don’t know that problem is with your gear or lighting issue

Put both camera in same setting, same lightning and same lens

It will clear that is your gear faulty or not

Is this image a crop of the actual shot?

You can post a link to your raw file. However, what I wanted to arrive at was that when you crop an image specially on 24 MP sensor of A7iii, we are not just zooming in on to the subject but also the noise. The grains can come in the image if the camera brightened the background for a better exposure. And by cropping we only magnify those. You should try the camera in different lighting conditions with more pictures and see how it behaves.

Thanks! Looked at your images and to me they look fine. Dark backgrounds can bring noise in images. The image in question was shot at ISO 1000 and looks decent without the extreme crop. Cropping magnifies the grain. What you can try is ETTR and see if that is any better. Otherwise the images are great and nothing to stress about. 🙂

Thanks for taking time and letting me know your feedback. I ll take your inputs and try shooting with the ETTR technique. That was really helpful!

Also i would really appreciate if you could suggest any inputs to be followed in order to keep the noise down when the light is low.
