    ONLINE PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES
    (Main Learning Path)

Follow the path for learning as outlined below. This is applicable to any genre of photography:

    Camera & Lens Buying Guide:

    – What parameters to consider for selecting a camera or lens. Finally based on the budget we recommend the camera/lens for your use.
    – Understanding the MTF chart which is important to know about lens sharpness/contrast/quality.

Basics and Advanced Fundamentals of Photography

(This course will make your foundation extremely strong and is suited for any genre of photography)

    1. Welcome and Intro

    2. Subject Knowledge

    3. White Balance
(Not getting good colours in your images? This lesson will help you achieve it)

    4. Exposure Triangle
(Blur/shaky images, not getting good exposure, what ISO and shutter-speed to use? All your queries will be answered here)

After completing the above, go through the “Blurred out of focus background” course
(This course will clear all your doubts on what it takes to get multiple subjects in focus based on your equipment.)

    5. Camera Metering
(what is spot/evaluative/matrix/multi metering and when to use what? When to over-expose and when to under-expose? Getting the correct exposure – All these will be answered here)

On completing the above, go through the Technical aspects of wildlife photography
(Till challenges of spot metering chapter – This will further make your understanding in the above concepts strong. It’s a wildlife course, but concepts are the same for all genre)

    6. Understanding Focusing
(This is a key chapter to know all about auto focusing modes and focusing points. Very important chapter for using the right auto focusing options for composition)

Now again, go back through the Technical aspects of wildlife photography – the remaining chapters.
(From focusing modes to be used for wildlife. This has advanced concepts for focusing)

For Sony users -> Go through lesson 7. Auto Focus Area Modes.
(When to use what focusing options has been clearly explained here)

The further couple of lessons is the key to making amazing images.

    7. Composition
(Here you will understand all the key guidelines for composition and how to create wow images)

Then jump to “The Art of Composition” in wildlife photography.
(Though this is purely for wildlife and birds, there are a lot of good learnings here)

    8. Shooting techniques
(which tripod to use? What tripod-head to use? Handheld shooting techniques for sharp images etc – everything is covered here)

Also watch the “Shooting Techniques in Wildlife
(This is again for wildlife – Everything you need to know about shooting techniques in wildlife from a safari vehicle)

Once you complete the above lessons/chapters, go through the Post Processing Course.
(Post processing is the key to finally completing your photograph and presenting to the viewers. Learn about selective processing, enhance just the subject and make thebackground better etc)

Once you complete the above set of courses, you will have a very strong foundation in photography and you will start seeing improvements in your images.

Hi Sudhir, Glad to know about you and the courses you are offering, Happy to join all-in-one course today.

I have sony alpha 58 Y 18-55 & 55-200 lens – and tried my hands on candid photography and portraiture. Still I consider my self as a novice to photography and looking to try and learn wild life, birds photography.

I feel many a times missing a 600mm lens while shooting birds. I get to know about bridge cameras and thinking to by either <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; color: var(–bb-body-text-color);”>Sony RX10 IV which is costing 1.3 lakh or NIKON COOLPIZ P1000 whose cost is 70k.

Instead of bridge cameras, shall I go for basic mirrorless camera with sigma 150-600 mm? Any suggestions on this pls.

I would recommend a mirrorless with a tele zoom lens. Go for the Sony 200-600 lens and an entry level body like A6600.

One follow up question on the same topic pls…

Given the budget I have…is it ok to buy Nikon Z50 or Z30 with Sigma 150-600mm lens or since I was using Sony you would still recommend Sony 200-600 with a6600 body ? @Sudhir ?

Hi sir, I’ve just enroled and I already learnt so much. I’ve been fascinated by photography and wanted to learn more into it as I’ll be getting a camera soon. My fiance is in NYC now and I found Sony Alpha 7 ii for $899 with kit lens. Would you suggest I go for it even in 2023? I’ll not be focusing on sports photography but more on portraits, landscape, some wildlife, travel photography. It’s 10k more than my budget but I’d get a full frame Sony mirrorless.

I have used Canon EOS 200D previously and wanted to get something good now.

Does the Auto Focus points decide the focusing spot on the frame irrespective of the shooting mode (Manual/ Auto Focus)?

AF point has no role in manual focus for focusing. And in auto focus mode it depends on the kind of AF point used.
