There are a few clarifications regarding processing photos through the tutorial of Light room classic

    1. Adjusting Levels. Cannot find it anywhere in LRC. Previously even Photoshop had it. That too is missing. How do I do it in both.

    2. Original File No does not come up in the export option if we process LRC through Photoshop or topaz software for noise removal or Photo AI .

    3. I have Topaz, Denoise, sharpen and Photo AI. It does not perform well in LRC. It is better to go to Photoshop in LRC and do the actions of Topaz there. In LRC only Photo AI can be accessed through file, where the Raw file can be processed. The other way is through Photo–Edit in. In that it says only jpg file can be processed and I can access only Photo AI or denoise. Sharpen does not come up.

    4. When Sudhir is explaining Level the video is not focused and one cannot make out which drop down menu has Level

    Hi Suhas,

    1. Level adjustment option is not available in LR, but you can use the whites and the blacks slider to get the same results.

    2. Once you come back to LR after using PS or 3rd party tools, the original file no is displayed back and then you an do an export.

    3. The latest version of LR has Denoise option available which is far better than the Topaz Denoise. The other tools which you use has its limitations when you move away from LR / PS.

    4. If it is PS tutorial you are referring to, it is under Image -> Adjustment -> Levels.

      Noted with Thanks

I just add the no while exporting so not much of an issue

I agree. The LRC denoise is much better. But it takes 8 to 10 mins for the operation to be completed vis a vis Topaz Denoise which takes a minute or so

      4. If it is PS tutorial you are referring to, it is under Image -> Adjustment -> Levels.

      Found it. Thanks

My thoughts as an amateur photographer and hobbyist, senior citizen veteran Indian Army.

      1. Liked your tutorials a lot

      2. LRC has its advantages as work flow is smooth and in one software, found Adobe Bridge,Raw and Photoshop easier to process photos especially using Topaz AI denoise, PhotoAI and sharpen.

      3. Pls add fuji film XT 5 in your stable of tutorials.

      4. I was doing my birding with D 500 and 200-500mm lens. I bought a XT5 and 150-600 mm lens basically because it is much lighter and a friend and ex army colleague who is an expert birder and landscape photographer was using the Fuji Film platform. I have used the XT5 a few times but I found its focusing much slower than D 500 and it keeps jumping from one point to another. In addition i found the images of D 500 much sharper. This is my observation, maybe because I am new to XT 5 and will improve my technique as we go along and use it more often.

      Rgds
