I never did a typical safari during monsoon. However, it provides incredible colour and diversity in India. One most significant reason is park closure, which I cannot control. The second one is my hesitation to take the Camera in the rain. So, I wish to know some places to photograph wildlife during the monsoon. Further, I would be happy if someone could share the protective measures for the Camera and lens in such a situation. Kindly comment. I appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi Sudipta, I did couple of unavoidable Safari in monsoon as due to nature of weather it hard to predict when it will rain in national parks near Bangalore.

This may I visited to Kanha National park in the first week and my couple of safaris got rigged with heavy rains.

During those time I always carry a camera rain cover from wildroar and a very big plastic bag for added protection. It’s always a challenge to shoot in rains though..

Hope this help, would be happy to know other people measures.

Hi Harshit, thanks a lot for the suggestions. The second bag option is really effective.
