    Hi All,

Can anyone tell in which parks in India you can remove the middle seat of the safari vehicle? Who facilitates that? Lodges? or do you have any know contractors who do that operation?

It’s possible in Dhikala, Jim Corbett. The safari driver does it. U need to inform him in advance. Only criteria is that there should be maximum 2 guests in the vehicle.

It is done in a lot of national parks and you typically have to pay extra to get a jeep fixed for you with the driver (and not go with the allocation by the Gypsy union). The Gypsy driver gets it done for you. Or if you book a Gypsy from the hotel/resort, they do it for you.
And yes, generally to get this done you need to have a max of just 2 guests. Anything more they may not allow you to do and is also not feasible.
Ranthambhore, Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Corbett, Tadoba, and a lot of parks allow you to do it. Best is to check with the respective lodges/drivers for confirmation as the park rules keep changing.

    Rgds,
    Sudhir

Wow, even after frequent visits to Ranthambhore and Bandhavgarh, I never knew about this. It was your course only through which I learned that this is possible. Thanks a lot. I will try to make it next time. I usually travel with my family (my wife and daughter are both enthusiastic about wildlife), so 2 people limit may be an issue for me. But again, options are really helpful. Thanks a lot ????
