Upgrading to new camera gear for wildlife and bird photography
Hello respected sir, Since 2018 I’d started photography. In previous time I used nikon d500 along with 200-500mm lens. Now I want to upgrade my gears. That’s why I’m discussing with you.
First time I thought I’ll purchase a Nikon Z9 and 180-600mm lens after festival.
Now I think that if I purchase a Nikon Z8 body then how will it be? I know in Z8 there are battery draining issues compared to Z9. Any other pros and cons of Nikon Z8 compared to Z9 like focusing speed, buffer capabilities, nef raw recording speed, iso performance and all…? I’d read that there are no auto capture option on Nikon Z8. Any other difference..?
There are something around 1 lakhs RS difference on the Z9 and Z8.
If I cut my 1 lakh indian rupees from the camera body and invest that one lakh rupees on the 400mm f/4.5 mm lens then how will it be?
I know prime lenses are always better. I mainly do birding. If I attach 1.4x TC on the 400mm lens then how will it be…?
Then the minimum aperture will go to f/6.3 and something compression happens on the lens like image quality and sharpness drop based on the MTF chart.
On the other hand if I use 500mm f/5.6 F mount lens on Z mount body with using a FTZ adapter then would it be and problem…? I heard there might be some quality drop issues when addtion FTZ adapter will be in-between. What would be your recommendation.
Which body and lens you’ll recommended? Nikon Z9 or Z8 And, 180-600mm vs 400mm f/4.5 with a 1.4x TC vs 500mm f/5.6 pf with a FTZ adapter..?
I mainly do birding. Like 70% birding and 30% wildlife.
Please reply me sir based on my work style. Thank you so much sir.
