    Please opine on using uv/polaroid filter on 200-600 lens for wildlife. Main intention is to protect front glass from scratches. Does it affect autofocus or sharpness?

    Yes it does affect AF and degrade the image sharpness. Avoid using it. You need to use lenshood to protect the lens and ensure you are careful with the way you handle the lens.
