    Hi Akathma,

Welcome, if you ask me, Renting the Camera is a good idea.

Camera you can buy based on which field you are interested in. for example Wildlife Photography, Bird Photography, Macro Photography, Street Photography or Landscape Photography etc. And also, it depends on your budget you can afford.

    All the best.

    regards,

What camera/lens to purchase mainly depends on 2 important factors:
    1. What do you want to shoot?
    2. What is your budget?

As I always keep saying, invest more on the lens and less on the camera. As Suneel suggested, best would be to rent the combination based on your genre and budget and try it out.

I hope to update the best camera and lens database soon.

    Rgds,
    Sudhir

Thank you so much for the reply 🙂 And apologies for not being clear with my question.

Being a beginner, I am not able to chose the genre as well. So, I want to get started. Maybe I would not do wildlife or bird photography in the beginning (though I am interested) maybe I want to explore all genres. I am not sure.

Is not having this clarity is not good for my learning? Do you suggest me to start with a genre or something?

Budget maximum I can have is 1L.

    One last question… 😌
I completed Camera & Lens Buying Guide:
    Should I also complete
Basics and Advanced Fundamentals of Photography and then get the camera or should I have the camera while learning basics and advanced photography?

      Akathma,

Its Learning Platform you can ask as much as questions you want 😀.

Now that you completed the Camera & Lens Buying Guide, hope you know what to buy.

You can finish the Basic Fundamentals and rent a camera and start applying the skills what you learnt.

Later you decide which Camera and lens to buy.
