If you are shooting in low light situation inside a room, chances are you will need a very high ISO (probably not supported by your camera) to achieve a shutter speed of 1/500.
The approach to achieve it should be: – Keep in aperture priority mode. – Set the aperture to lowest f number supported by the camera. – Set the ISO to say 1000 and check the shutter speed you are getting. – Doubling the ISO will double the shutter speed. Use this calculation to get the desired shutter speed.
