Nice action in d image and but as mentioned above the subject wings being cut does not justify it….also u went for such high ISO but did not compensate d exposure….1 or 2 stops of -ve compensation would have helped u lower ur ISO or helped u increase ur shutter speed to capture the fast action in d image better🙏🏼👍🏻

Nice image n closeup shot…..since u kept coming close to the subject do u also have image of the full subject as a portrait shot…..would love luv to c one….also have u tried to crop vertically….? Since its jus a headshot which i think can work well in vertical composition👍🏻

Nice eye level shot….it would be better if u could post the screenshot of raw unprocessed image as well….were u handheld or on a tripod…Was it possible for u to go lower on the ISO resulting in a slower shutter speed as there is no action in the image…..or were u waiting for some action to happen…????

Also left side there seems to b distractions….did u try to remove something from d image….it looks prominent…..composition can be tried leaving more space in front of d bird cropping d left side distraction….

Nice action in the image with the reflection but I wished there was a proper head turn with eye contact……try to straighten the Horizon and you can try vertical cropping. And by the way its a GREAT GREY HERON…..

Why such high shutter speed for a bird not doing any such quick moments or action….also if possible can u post the orginal Raw file…i think u can get the exposure a bit up in post processing and also increasing d shadows would help…..

Any specific reason for such high shutter speed for a perched bird….? Also your exposure seems to b incorrect with +2ev and den correcting the image in post to increase soo much of exposure u have lost on d details of the subject…..since d overall tonality of d frame is on d darker side a -ve ev would have worked playing around with… Read more

Thank you sooo much n glad u liked it. I did shot this image with higher ISO to specifically achieve this particular shutter speed of 1/250 as even on the perch the bird kept moving its head up and down. Earlier I had a few images shot even at SS of 1/60 with lower ISO values but the bird kept moving and was very fast so was getting motion… Read more

Was f20 really required to get both the Birds in focus as the distance between both the birds does not seem to look tooo much….also did u try to focus on the branch in between both the birds giving u an opportunity to get both birds in focus with a smaller f number like f8 or f11

Nice image and good thinking of going with d minimum aperture of the lens to let in more light in ur frame but it would have been better to place the bird on the right hand side of the frame jus bcoz the bird is looking towards d right and is getting cramped leaving negative space behind subject…..also u may try to increase the shadows… Read more
