Rainbow Lorikeet at bath time.
This was a chance capture, was photographing a turtle in the water when this lorikeet landed in water and splashed around for sometime. Had to switch settings and composition quickly to capture action. Captured hand-held and this was as low as I could go, given the high bank around the lake.

The bird has a small but striking presence in the woods. It was taken in the morning at about 7 AM at Old magazine house when its glowing rust breast creates a vivid painting like image of the bird. The processing has been done in photoshop and the background darkened to highlight the striking colors of the bird.
