Cold winter later afternoon, sun low on horizon illuminating tall grass around lake, creating reflection of light!

Group of ducks were swimming and I waited for them to come in front of tall grassy part while I went on opposite side of lake.

The Sun was really sharp and bright, I found a bed of flowers where beautiful Butterflies were going about their day. I just loved the way light illuminated them and the yellow flowers. I sat down on the ground waiting for the right moment when I could capture a couple of them in the frame with the yellow flowers.

Rainbow Lorikeet at bath time.
This was a chance capture, was photographing a turtle in the water when this lorikeet landed in water and splashed around for sometime. Had to switch settings and composition quickly to capture action. Captured hand-held and this was as low as I could go, given the high bank around the lake.

The moment she looks away, the baby comes out to play. Indian one-horned rhino baby with its mother and some cattle egrets. I chose this photo over ones which have the mother’s face visible because I wanted to focus on the baby playing with egrets and show the heavy back armour on the adult rhino.
