Sir, There were lots of flamingoes around so wanted to highlight the subject and make background slight dark.
As I was shooting in Shutter Priority, I made exposure compensation zero to keep meter pointer at center.
Reason for F8 was to ensure sharpness., as I was not confident on the low aperture…….

When to turn on/off VR on Lense.

I am having D500 I shoot with 200 500 for wildlife and 55 to 200 for general photography….however i have been trying to get sharpest photo…..i applied all the tricks learned through courses…..but i noticed one thing…

When i turn off VR it gives me sharper photo that VR on in Hald held….

The image is taken at Umred Karhandala, just after we started morning safari. we spotted few peacocks sitting on tree. being low light. I was not prepared to capture any action shot. all of sudden I saw movement.

Generally I keep camera in Aperture priority in such situation, that day it was on manual.
