A male Hoolock Gibbon sitting like the king of the forest. I felt so lucky to witness these primates swinging from trees, eating fruits and even having family wars. Their sounds echoing in the misty forest when a rival male threatened the family felt even more surreal than roar of a tiger.

Spotted doves and moon are my least favorite subjects to photograph, but together they formed an interesting composition. I setup my camera on tripod to compose the moon between the branches and waited for the nearby spotted owl to sit on the branch. Unfortunately the owl didn’t come in the open but the dove came to the perfect spot.
