Yellow Bittern

Location – Nilje Lake, Dombivali

Photographed at around 8 am. Very cloudy surroundings. Diffused light. Bittern was at the top of the bushes surrounding the lake. Positioned self as near to the bird as possible, due to dense bushes. Moved around to get minimum distraction in the background.

This image is shot at Madiwala Lake in Bangalore where the the light was extremely low and the pelican was swimming in the lake. Due to extreme low light I had to use a very low shutter speed and had to lie completely down on my belly with using bean bag for support to get this shot.

Photographed at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, this week. The weather was cool without any harsh sunlight throughout the day as it had rained continuously for two days before.

I tried composing the shot using the rule of 3rd and placing the bird in accordance.
