I guess it is because that if this was shot from going little back/farther.. the angle of shoot would not look that much steep as you said it will become 30 rather 70…. I think adding surrounding would not have helped here unless they are complementary to frame. However, having a multi tonality background is always a plus for any frame.

As I see there are lot of distractions around the subject… like.. those out of focus tree branches in foreground.. looks like those were tried to be removed while processing the image. The subject is also blurred at many areas.

Sir, this image is looking soft..flat.. lacking sharpness in the subject. It’s a nice try. However, I am not seeing sharpness in the image… apart from that … the back of the bird is blurred which is a distraction for virwers. I also think that WB could be redused a bit… around 5600-5800.

That’s what I also felt regarding post processing… this one is looking way better with those corrections made to enhance brightness of eyes and colour tone of leopard.

I would say it’s a nice attempt in early learning stage. However, I just opined about the thoughts which came spontaneously seeing the image… I am no expert. We all are learning here from each other under the guidance of Sir and getting inspired with the work people are showcasing.

Hello,

I guess the bird is little overexposed & this image had lot of scope composition wise… like if the bird was framed completely without that cut in tail… framing of the subject also seems too tight to me. Would like to hear your opinion on this.

Hello,

Since he was sitting there for such a long time and was not in sleep, I hope you would’ve tried other compositions also, like one in which those leaves in front of his face/mouth could be avoided!

I guess, had those leaves and tree a bit farther from the subject, the same composition would have given a much better image with that blurred…

Sir, what is the diffrence between a high key image and black and white one.. I mean which factors distinguish them. I have understood till now that in high key images we over expose to get that white background and on other hand gets colors of the subject as well.

It’s a nice shot captured. Though, from composition point of view, I guess it would have given more appeal to the image had the subject was placed at the 1/3rd part from right side with that 2/3rd part of empty space in the left side against the head of the bird.

Hello, Pankaj Ji.

Since the image is pretty sharp, I think this image can still be corrected/made better in PP in order to avoid those distractions and subject placement a little bit by cropping and adjustment and it would still look good, atleast in mobile phone viewing/Social media posting.

I tried this by taking a SS (though it is not a right…

Sir, I shot the same in horizontal composition and posted the original image in comment section. However, I choose to frame it in vertical composition while correcting the same. I am not sure which would look better.
