I feel the WB is bit high causing the bird to be too warm colour. Yes, losing details due to high ISO noise correction is a problem.
The main issue is lack of light for BIF photography which needs at least 1/3200s for ODKF. Which needs higher ISO causing signal (light) to noise ratio to be lower.

The difference does not change the DOF too much. Also the subject was at a distance and I didn’t want some part of the bird being out of focus (being a large bird). Thanks for your comment.
