Clicked this photo last year during my visit to my moms village near sarsawa airbase Uttar Pradesh . While talking the grand child approached his nana for a talk. Today I am sharing a photograph shot in our neighbourhood. This is a monsoon cloud formation that lit up the sky quite dramatically. The location is Doddabele playground near Kengeri, Bangalore. The inspiration for the shot was the stacked clouds and the play of light and shadow in the clouds.

last week on a safari drive I wanted to capture a lilac-breasted roller in flight. fortunately, I found many opportunities but only managed to get a few birds-in-flight pics as I found it very difficult to focus handheld. these birds are fast.

on a safari drive found this male lion feeding and safeguarding the giraffe kill from vultures and hyenas. he guarded the carcass for 2 days until the whole pride came and fed. I tried to capture the entire giraffe along with the lion but I was very close and there was no chance for the vehicle to go a bit behind and I was with only 1 lens…

This was shot in Wayanad. I saw this Racket Tailed Drongo at a distance in the morning and it was still a bit foggy.

I placed it between two trees, focussed on the bird and pressed the shutter.
