So my last trip to Sultanpur National Park I found this Black-rumped Flameback also called as lesser golden-backed woodpecker. I just locked my eyes, waited and followed it around to get the best shot in the busy forest. I just fell in love with it, the colors it has and the shiny coat, it’s so gorgeous.

Found this loner Black-winged Stilt wading through the waters. I liked the layers in the foreground and background. While this is a common bird and the setting is ok as well I have been practicing making shots that are thoughtful and require minimum to no edits. This one I just did minimum selective editing.

The Sun was really sharp and bright, I found a bed of flowers where beautiful Butterflies were going about their day. I just loved the way light illuminated them and the yellow flowers. I sat down on the ground waiting for the right moment when I could capture a couple of them in the frame with the yellow flowers.

The moment she looks away, the baby comes out to play. Indian one-horned rhino baby with its mother and some cattle egrets. I chose this photo over ones which have the mother’s face visible because I wanted to focus on the baby playing with egrets and show the heavy back armour on the adult rhino.
