An adult Spotted Owlet (ala Athene Brama) perched atop a tree. Adult Spotted Owlets are amongst the smallest of owl species, measuring a maximum of 21cm in size. A family of 4 Adult Spotted Owlets has come to reside at my hostel, becoming the centre of attraction for the birder inside me.

This macro photo of the bug was taken when I was roaming around the backyard of my house. I found it interesting to see the dark yellowish brown contrast with the green background.
