<p>Eurasian coots are water birds with a stocky build, typically found in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.  </p>
<p>They are easily recognizable by their dark grey or black feathers, white bill, and white patch on their forehead  which  has led to the saying &#8220;bald as a coot&#8221;.</p>
