The bird was at long distance ,so busy in the banks of a paddy field in search of something by hardly drilling earth. . backlight was extreme. So composed vertically to get the dark reflection also.

Nice shot…by my opinion(as a student🙃), subject should have been placed little more to left side, and give space to right and right upper corner since the angle of flight towards right upper corner and little zoome-out cropping👍🙂🙃

Morning time, the bird flying in picture was extreme fast to catch while common myna is walking on gound. so increased iso to get sufficient shutterspeed. I just wanted both in one frame.

Today at around 4.30pm, after coming back from church service ,i thought to roam with camera nearby my house fields. I noticed a pair of parakeets sitting on a tree branch, and i assumed that there will be a nest in nearby trees.as they see me, they flew away. I found their beautiful home in a arecanut tree. Actually the main content of this holylamp means,around 100-200 men lifting this big wooden structure by barehands,more than 1000 lamps are there,and they shifting it from one place to another place in few secs covering 100metre. i was standing with 85mm prime lens and i was on their way,moving towards me.suddenly…

Pallivilakku (means ‘Holy Lamps”) is part of temple festival, which is held on 25-03-2023 at Pallimukkam devi temple,Aranmula,Pathanamthitta Dist. Kerala at 4.30am.
The Pallivilakku are wooden chariots drawn by men and the lamps are lit in the outer shells of ‘Marotti’ (Neeralam) fruits.
