This has to be one of my rarest moments in the wild. We were on the safari at Tadoba National park looking for tigers. Pond herons are flying across the trees and suddenly out of nowhere this shikra made an appearance and grabbed a Pond Heron through its head and brought it down to kill.

LITTLE STINT

A Little Stint feeding. I wanted to display the bird quite small in the frame creating a minimalist image,
shot at eye level. Challenges faced was the harsh light leading to overexposed areas in the image. Post processing has been done using Lightroom Classic.

Pair of Red Spurfowl feeding early morning. The image was captured at Tamhini Ghat, Maharashtra. Had to wait for a while to get both the male and the female in one frame. The light was inadequate, so I had to use high ISO. The image is post-processed in LRC.
