LITTLE STINT

Alibaug, Maharashtra

A Little Stint feeding. I wanted to display the bird quite small in the frame creating a minimalist image,
shot at eye level. Challenges faced was the harsh light leading to overexposed areas in the image. Post processing has been done using Lightroom Classic.

Nice image but can do a better crop according to the rule of thirds the placement of the kingfisher would be better on the left side as it is facing the right side. Work on the composition

I personally feel the image should hv been taken from a lower angle if possible, it would hv had a better viewing impact.And the whites are a bit too over exposed, is this image processed or not ? But still a good image, the concept of pre visualization plays a important role.

Thanks sudipta , I also agree a lower angle would have been great but it was not possible due to the hide and about the auto focusing will look forward to improving it.

Thanks Vivek , only basic basic processing has been done on the image. The White balance , shadows and contrast adjustment really helps in bringing out the colors and if you pair up the whites and blacks together it really makes the color pop out. I hv just finished the course on post processing using lrc and tried to process this photograph of white eyed buzzard first

I kept the highlights on zero since the image was overexposed at some points , reduced exposure a little, white little bit on the higher side , blacks on the lower side
