Hungry One

Location: Ranthambore Tiger Reserve

This guy was constantly looking for food. We followed him for about a Kilometer and maintained the distance from the jeep. We placed the vehicle slightly down the slope to have an eye level shot, we waited for the bear to cross the road and it did. Shot with hand held.

Mallard duck clicked at Vancouver, BC. Honesty, I feel there is nothing too uber in the image (at least that is how I see it), but I liked the way water was splashing all around after it shook it out of its wings after taking a dive in the water to eat algae.

This one I clicked in Jan 2022 while was in search of roosting Pallid Harrier at outskirts of Nanded, Maharashtra.

As the ODKF season slowly ends, I returned to the Karnala Forest yesterday for one last sighting. As it was raining heavily, I had to pump up the ISO even with a tripod. The image is fully processed in Lightroom Classic—the power of LRC Denoise works wonders. I had to keep the image slightly underexposed to keep the ISO at the minimum.

The Baya Weaver was feeding on Millets. This was shot during my trip to Saswad mainly to photograph the Vernal Hanging Parrots, Minivets and foxes. You generally see the baya photographed with its nest, but this was a nice close shot. I had to wait the entire morning for the rain to stop. Post Processing was done in Lightroom Classic.
