  • Hello Uddeshya,

Welcome to the photography learning platform. Looking forward to seeing your amazing clicks. This is a learning platform and not just to share images (for which we have Facebook Instagram etc). That’s why we request all to share details about the image so that we can learn from each other.

    Rgds,

No camera is a bad camera. It all depends on your skills to use it. Do go through the course as per the photography learning path document and you will improve.

I would recommend the Canon 100-500 lens for this camera.

    1. Baseline (Standard): This is the most widely compatible option and is supported by all web browsers and image editors. It creates a single, top-to-bottom scan of the image and is ideal for images that do not contain many details or gradients. However, it produces larger file sizes than the other two options.

    2. Baseline Optimized: This option uses a more advanced algorithm to optimize the encoding process, resulting in a smaller file size while maintaining image quality. It is also supported by most web browsers, but not all image editors.

    3. Progressive: This option encodes the image in multiple passes, creating a series of scans that gradually increase in detail. This can result in smaller file sizes and faster loading times for large images, but it may not be supported by all web browsers.

Which option is better to use depends on the specific needs and requirements of the project. If file size is not a concern and compatibility is important, then the Baseline (Standard) option is a good choice. If you want a smaller file size without sacrificing too much image quality, then the Baseline Optimized option may be better. Finally, if you have a large image with many details or gradients and want to optimize loading times, then the Progressive option may be the best choice.

February 24, 2023 at 5:26 pm in reply to: ISO range

The method that a camera uses to assign ISO values within a given range can vary between camera models and manufacturers. However, in general, the camera will use a combination of factors such as available light, shutter speed, aperture, and exposure compensation to determine the optimal ISO value.

When shooting in auto mode, the camera will typically start with a lower ISO value and gradually increase it as the available light decreases, while still trying to maintain a proper exposure. This ensures that the image remains as noise-free as possible while still capturing enough light to properly expose the scene.

  • Sorry. Did not understand your issue. Can you explain in detail?

February 23, 2023 at 10:26 am in reply to: Monitor for Photo editing

Choosing the right monitor for photo and video editing is important because it directly affects the accuracy and quality of your work. Here are some factors to consider when selecting a monitor for photo and video editing:

    1. Resolution: A high-resolution monitor is ideal for photo and video editing. Look for a monitor with at least 1920×1080 pixels (Full HD) or 2560×1440 pixels (QHD). For even better resolution, consider a 4K monitor with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels.

    2. Color Accuracy: The monitor’s color accuracy is critical for photo and video editing. Look for a monitor with a wide color gamut, such as Adobe RGB or DCI-P3. A monitor with a color accuracy of Delta E less than 2 is considered good for photo and video editing.

    3. Contrast Ratio: A high contrast ratio is important for photo and video editing, as it allows for greater detail in shadow and highlight areas. Look for a monitor with a contrast ratio of at least 1000:1.

    4. Brightness: A bright monitor is necessary for photo and video editing to accurately see the details of the image. Look for a monitor with a brightness of at least 250 cd/m2.

    5. Viewing Angle: A monitor with a wide viewing angle is important for photo and video editing, as it allows for accurate color representation from different angles. Look for a monitor with a viewing angle of at least 178 degrees.

    6. Panel Type: There are different types of panels to choose from, including IPS, TN, and VA. IPS panels offer the best color accuracy and wide viewing angles, making them the ideal choice for photo and video editing.

    7. Size: The monitor size depends on personal preference and workspace. A larger monitor allows for better multitasking and more screen real estate for editing, but it may not be suitable for smaller workspaces.

    8. Calibration: Finally, make sure to calibrate your monitor regularly using a color calibration tool. This will ensure that the colors on your screen are accurate and consistent.

Overall, it is essential to invest in a high-quality monitor with accurate colors, a wide color gamut, and a high resolution to achieve the best results in photo and video editing.

April is obviously a very good time to visit. And that’s a peak time. So not sure if you will get the safari permits since we are already in Feb end.

https://ranthamboreregency.com is my preferred choice of stay. They also arrange for safaris. Do get in touch with them online.
