There are just too many distracting elements within a similar color range in the foreground unfortunately. It’s not a great shot. Any further post processing would probably push it into an unethical post processing zone, so I decided to just learn from it and do better next time.

Lovely capture. I actually like your uncropped photograph better. The blues in the background contrast very nicely with the warmer tones of the tree and the bird, so you get nice depth and layering.

Lead Required for DSLR Servicing in Chennai

Does anyone have a lead for a reliable service centre that can clean and service DSLR cameras in Chennai? I have a 15 year old Canon EOS 500D which I use as a secondary camera for wider shots, which still works well. I’d like to get the body and lens serviced and cleaned up, replace the mirrors if possible. Thank you.

You should look at a post processing tool that gives you more flexibility to isolate parts of the image. That said, this particular capture, in my opinion doesn’t contain too much information for you to salvage. It was a good moment and composition you captured, but the data in the image is unfortunately compromised due to the low light…

Beautiful. Very nicely post processed too. You could explore a vertical crop. You’d still get the different layers in the BG running across frame like the water, soil, grass, sky and bring us closer to the flamingos.

Nice shot. I like the decision to crop it vertically. You can perhaps even go for a taller aspect ratio like a 9:16 so it brings more focus to the feathers. Because there is a lot of green in both the feathers and the foliage in the background, you could explore bringing down the exposure on the background by a stop and desaturating it slightly…

Very nice shot. Love the reflection too. Wondering if you considered cropping the top a bit to create a wider aspect ratio so the line between land and water runs across the centre of the frame, dividing the frame into 2 distinct halves.
