    Hi everyone,

I have been using a Canon 1300D for the last 6-7 years, but wish to upgrade to a better camera now.

My interests lie in landscape, nature and portrait photography. I am considering two models – Canon R 6 and Canon R 8 (both with 24-105 mm lens )

The attraction of R 8 is its lighter weight and hence ease of carrying it around, but it does not have in-body IS. If the lens has IS, is it still required for the camera body to have IS.
Which would you recommend EOS R 6 Mark II or EOS R 8

I also have a Canon 50 mm prime lens.

    Hi,

If your 1300D is working fine, you really don’t need any other camera body for landscape and portrait. What you should invest in is a good lens fit for purpose, a good wide angle lens for landscape with telescopic range upto 200 mm for portrait.

Thanks for your response Vipul Kumar. I really like the 1300 D which is why I have been using it for this long. I wish to get a full frame sensor camera to get greater detail and also low light pictures, which I am unable to get now.

I would suggest you to go with Canon R6 mark ii a with RF 24-105 mm lens.

In body camera stabilization is an advanced feature which will surely help you achieve great output over only lens stabilization.
