DSLR VS MIRRORLESS CAMERA FOR WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY
I currently own entry level DSLR but i have used my friend’s Nikon Z7 mirrorless camera
Mirrorless view finder feels wierd to my eye
is it wroth it u invest in good DSLR now in 2024

Mirrorless is the only option soon but more economical systems would be needed in the future. Let’s refer to a D500 with Nikkor 200-500 f5. 6 as the price point for a great system which existed earlier. The eye AF in Mirrorless will be the usp which gives us crisp photos / videos irrespective of our camera handling skills. India needs good mirrorless solution at 75k – 1 lakh price point & another at 2.00 lakh price point. Solutions which deliver for wildlife photography. They should be available in the next few years, IMO.

Why not! I’m selling my D7500 and getting a D500 instead to pair with my Nikkor 200-500 as the latter gives me better AF controls for birding. For large game I’m considering a Nikon Z50ii with Nikkor Z 50-250. Both systems will give me a coverage of 75-375 mm & 300-750 mm.
