    Hi Sudhir sir/all,

Can you please help with sharing knowledge about what kind of image is displayed on Camera LCD, when I am shooting in RAW format only?

as per my research, even if Camera is set to RAW Only, displayed image on LCD is JPEG preview of the RAW file.. is this correct?

If JPEG preview is being displayed, then we won’t be able to see the Image correctly in case we have dialed in Exposure compensation (since JPEG preview will be processed by camera).

    Thank you!

If you are talking about image playback, then it’s a small resolution camera processed jpg what you see in the LCD.

It’s the white balance settings, picture profile , noise reduction, auto light optimiser / dynamic daylighting etc etc. all camera settings are applied to the file and shown in playback as jpg.

In case of live view, in mirrorless cameras, if you have enabled the real time simulation, then what ever values of white balance or exposure compensation you dial in, it will be shown in real time.
