AdministratorJuly 8, 2023 at 11:35 pm in reply to: Best budget Telephoto Lens to pair with Sony A7M4I would highly recommend the Sony 200-600. You will not regret it. It’s a one-time investment and will serve you for long. For any other lens, you will have to buy the adapter as well and that will compromise the autofocus and not good.

AdministratorJuly 7, 2023 at 8:55 pm in reply to: How to approach international or national photography contests in the wildlife category? How to win competitions is a 1-hour topic of discussion which I used to do in the past. Hope I can share that someday as a webinar soon. Honestly very difficult to explain in a message here.
Key thing is to focus on the competition guidelines and most importantly the theme. You can also check previous years winning images to get inspired.
And again, you need to have those wow images for which you need to have a strong foundation of photography along with composition skills. Go through the courses here and you will get there.

Hi Sudipta,
Panning pod is not available in India. For some of the photography accessories, depending on the city, you need to contact your local dealer. Ot in Bangalore I go to FotoCircle: https://www.fotocircle.com/

AdministratorJuly 4, 2023 at 1:46 pm in reply to: Which Camera should I buy for upgradeHi Rakesh, Welcome to the SSP Community. Sony 200-600 would be a great one for wildlife and birds. Bidy – you can go for A7 IV or the latest A7 RV. A7 R III will also work.

It is done in a lot of national parks and you typically have to pay extra to get a jeep fixed for you with the driver (and not go with the allocation by the Gypsy union). The Gypsy driver gets it done for you. Or if you book a Gypsy from the hotel/resort, they do it for you.
And yes, generally to get this done you need to have a max of just 2 guests. Anything more they may not allow you to do and is also not feasible.
Ranthambhore, Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Corbett, Tadoba, and a lot of parks allow you to do it. Best is to check with the respective lodges/drivers for confirmation as the park rules keep changing.Rgds,

AdministratorJuly 3, 2023 at 12:43 pm in reply to: Time to switch to Sony ? Due to Lack of Lenses options & RF being Overpriced! If you have still not purchased, go with SOny 200-600 and the A7R5. It’s a killer combination for birds and wildlife photography and no other combination comes close to it for similar budget. I used it recently during my Panna and Bandhavgarh tour and you will not regret the investment.
